Just as an athlete cannot expect to see winning come his way without an inordinate amount of practice, practice, and more practice, success in business is generally a result of work, work, and more work. It does not have to be unpleasant work and it does not have to be difficult work, but work is necessary as is being dedicated to the cause.
Jennifer listened to the financial guru she contacted about a home based business. She set up her website as directed and did everything recommended for success. She tried to do as she was instructed, but nothing happened. She later received an email from the guru stating that he was dismayed that so many people were finding it difficult to do well with his recommendations. She found that she was not alone in finding that no good results came from the investment into this particular business deal. It was not as easy as he said, and success did not come.
She tried the products of other so-called gurus who touted instant success and riches. To her dismay, nothing was working. Then she talked with a friend who was earning substantial money with a network marketing company. The friend told her that her success came slowly. She insisted that only hard work and dedication with persistence not common with most people were the elements which brought her success. She said that she had to determine within herself that she simply would not give up.
The hard work which the friend described meant talking to people when she felt no one wanted to listen. She kept mentioning her business whenever she got the chance even though she knew that rejection was entirely probable. She was dedicated to her goals, and she kept at it. Finally, things started to come her way. She found some people who were interested in joining her and becoming part of her business. She was unwilling to quit and just kept at it. Eventually she found financial success.
Listening to financial gurus is not a bad thing, but there are no many scams and dishonest people pushing useless products. Finding a good opportunity and giving it the dedication and hard work required can bring success.
During World War II when Japanese Americans were unjustly incarcerated in camps which had been constructed in remote and desolate areas of the country, they faced much hardship and difficulty. They found life a struggle within the camps, and winning seemed impossible. However, some young college students were able to leave the camps early to resume college studies at universities outside of the west coast. They were helped by the Quakers and some few others. They started on their winning ways through hard work and dedication. Eventually they were able to achieve some measure of success.
